I’ve already unboxed it (link below) and teared it down in an attempted to affix the lose display, partially destroying the LCD in the process (link below). So now it’s high time to assess it in detail.

It offers good optical qualities from the lens over the sensor to the display and the processing in between. These are supported by a cheap but working stand with sufficient LED lighting. The firmware and the remote are lacking a bit though.

10:17 Tilting – it kinda works, but it’s mostly a gimmick
12:47 Lag – barely noticeable
13:55 Lighting – two LEDs that are more than bright enough
15:27 Workspace – good enough for Euro boards
16:43 Buttons – only a few functions and some quirks
20:07 Remote – the rest of the functionality and more quirks
25:10 Video – works but ignores settings
25:42 Wrap-up – good core qualities but the rest is a bit cheesy
