Описание: A documentary on African tradition. In the Zimbabwean Shona culture when an adult dies, it is believed that his spirit takes the form of a homeless spirit wandering about the cosmos. The deceased will only rest in peace and transcend to become a legitimate ancestral spirit when his/her relatives perform a special ritualistic cleansing ceremony. The cleansing ceremony will result in the dead spirit taking up the role of protector to the living relatives as part of the protective ancestral community. The film follows this ceremonial cleansing practice through the lens of one of the few families who still adhere to this belief as passed down from one generation to the other.
