Hi guys, this is my spin on a pure caster build. we have and use a lot of spells, i was going for a red mage vibe with this one. we use all element spells and try to go for cool spell and aow combos.
This is lv 200, so i dont feel too bad going for stronger stuff then usual; everything two shots anyway. I should have used tempest ashes to simulate the wind element and the bubble spells to simulate water, sadly i didnt think about that, but for sure i will make another video with this build in the future.
Combos showcased in this video:
BlackFlame Ritual into Adula's Moonblade
Briars Of Punishment into Glinstone Icerag
BlackFlame Tornado into Roiling Magma
Gravitas into Roiling Magma
Collapsing Star into Roiling Magma
Some spell tips:
Magma Shot comboes into a lot of weapons class.
Black Flame Ritual is a very good spell. if people dont respect it and walk into it, use adula's moonblade or some other fast spell to punish them when they are in hit stun (if they have high poise it takes more ticks of damage). If they do respect it and keep distance, and if they are not using spells or projectile aow you can basically cast whatever you want and ALSO the flames hide your casting animation and they cover the projectile when it is behind the flame so they have less time to react.
As you saw in the video, Briars Of Punishment doesn't care about height, if you cast it when you are above your enemies and you are in range, the spell should hit (i say should because the tracking on this spell is a bit strange), even if there's a bottomless pit between you and the enemies. Sometimes it also goes upstairs. When i'm way heigher then other players i like to use Briars Of Punishment with the Death Ritual Spear AOW. Try it.
When in tight spaces throw a few Roiling Magma with different timings to make coopers really scared. even if you dont hit them, you can roll catch them or use the pool of lava as cover to heal or cast something. Also, when you hit someone with the Roiling Magma projectile it does decent damage, is very fast and goes in a straight line for a bit before falling
Ghelmir's Fury is good against very aggressive gankers; it does insane damage and leaves a pool of lava, so that if they survive they are gonna leave you a bit of distance or get chip damaged to death, just cast it after endure.
I read some people say that Zamor Ice Storm is bad, as showcased it really isnt, you can use to hit people above and under you and also hit people behind walls. it also does high damage and proc frostbite.
