HIGHLIGHT. Nina Salamatova, youth leader advocating for peace in Ukraine

Описание: At the CSW 70th Session at the UN New York Hq, I had a conversation with Nina Salamatova, the youngest delegate of the Ukrainian Independent Delegation of Women to the UN. Staunchly advocating for peace and cessation of war in her motherland Ukraine, Nina spends her time organizing youth in her school Middlesex College in NJ and leading delegations to the UN.
Nina had been uprooted from Ukraine when the war broke and her family moved to Romania, Canada and then US. I asked how she's coping with the impact of war on her, and she answered, through advocacy and speaking out. That's a resilient spirit.
In this interview at Conversations with MM podcast, she said their advocacy also included anti-mining campaigns with Ukraine being the world's 'most mined country' so far. Nina called out leaders to remember their humanity in achieving peace.
