Have you ever had an idea that felt so right, made so much sense, got you so excited - that you were convinced "God told me to do this"? And then you were confused when it didn't work out the way you thought?


In today's honest (and slightly humorous) episode, Desiree shares about the time she found five dollars and immediately thought God wanted her to win a casino jackpot. She got emotional on the drive there, planning all the ministry she'd fund with the big win. This was clearly God's provision, His plan, His divine favor showing up exactly when she needed it. Or so she thought.


But when she got to the casino, the machine she'd played for over ten years was gone. God had removed it. And He spoke clearly: "You have the vision of what the big picture is, but you're not getting it through one jackpot. This isn't how I work."


That was HER idea - her flesh wanting the easy path, the quick win, the instant breakthrough with no faith required. That was NOT God's instruction.


Two weeks later, God gave her His actual instruction: Give those same five dollars to a homeless man she was judging. She obeyed. Two days later, a $542 check arrived in the mail. 100-fold return - but NOT through her plan. Through God's instruction.


This is the crucial lesson: Your ideas aren't always God's instructions. And if you can't tell the difference between God's voice and your own, you'll waste years following yourself while thinking you're following Him.
