Description:
UNICEF has distributed over 500 wheelchairs across the Gaza Strip to support children with injuries that have led to disabilities, easing their daily lives. The Gaza Strip is home to a significant number of children living with disabilities; many have become disabled as a result of the ongoing war. The World Health Organisation estimates that at least a quarter of those injured in Gaza have life-changing injuries, requiring major rehabilitation. These children deserve our unwavering support to ensure they receive adequate care, live with dignity, independence, and hope for a brighter future. By providing these essential mobility aids, UNICEF helps empower these children to navigate their surroundings and participate in their communities.
