We got seriously humbled by these tracks at Forge Woods in Machynlleth near Dyfi forest and Dyfi bike park.
We booked last minute tickets for Dyfi bike park and were looking for some warm up tracks to ride the day before. We definitely got more than we bargained for especially as the weather leading up to the weekend was horrendous!
I think these trails would have been hard enough in the dry but the amount of slippy roots and steep corners and chutes very quickly sapped what confidence I had.
We have more exploring to do in Wales but so far have found the off piste stuff to be pretty serious so far.
We did 10 miles and about 650m of climbing.
