Katra: An accident took place between a Fortuner car, bearing registration No. JK02DM 0045 and a scooty bearing registration No. JK20C6192 on the Katra - Jammu Road near petrol pump and Masjid in which the scooty rider sustained serious injuries.

The scooty rider was crossing the road after refueling when he was hit by the Fortuner.

The injured was identified as Parveen Singh, aged 53 years, son of Mohan Singh, a resident of Latori, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.

He was immediately taken to CHC Katra. After receiving first aid he was shifted to Narayana Hospital for medical treatment.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation in this regard. Moreover, the vehicle has been seized and one person has been detained.
