Load Up a Short Case for you to Complete, in this Video I have selected the first Homicide Case, "The Red Lipstick Murder" located on L.A. Noire Disc 1.

Cut Scene at Police Station
Directive to Investigate "The Moors' Crime Scene

Ignore the directive for now and at this point set a Marker on your Map to the Hidden Vehicle Garage containing the Phantom Corsair Car shown in the Video, crash it until the Engine catches on fire 7 or 8 times to cause more that $47,000 worth of Vehicle Damages.

Back to the Case.

Go to the Crime Scene

1 - Size eight Shoe Prints: Check the shoeprints near a Yellow Evidence square
2 - Blunt Force Trauma: Check the right side of the victim's head
3 - Missing Jewellery: Check the left hand of the victim
4 - Writing on Body: Check the lower torso of the victim
5 - Lipstick: Check the victim's purse near a Yellow Evidence square
6 - Bamba Club Lighter: Obtained after solving the rotating globe puzzle near another Yellow Evidence square
Investigate further and rotate each row to the left to make an image of North and South America.
Directive to Investigate Bamba Club

When you exit the Crime Scene using the path the Game will now Auto Save, this means that you can go and check your Vehicle Damage progress using the Rockstar Social Club.

Use the Payphone next to Cigarette Machine before you leave, then drive to the Henry Residence.

New directive to Investigate Celine Henry's Residence

After using the Payphone go to the Henry Residence
Your partner will go around back to check things out, kick in the door after seeing a broken window then unlock the front door for you.
Newspaper 5: On the floor in the living room when you first enter
9 - Female Shoe: On the floor in the diving room
10 - Forced Entry: Check the broken window in the kitchen
11 - Note on Fridge: While not actually listed as a clue, it is required

Ignore directive to Investigate Jacob Henry's Apartment

For now also ignore the directive to Canvas the neighbours and find two more clues in this House.

12 - Update "Missing Jewellery": Check the ring box on the dresser in the Bedroom
13 - Picture on Dresser: While not actually listed a clue, it is required
Now go outside and talk the neighbour for some information.
14 - Marital Problems: Obtained from speaking with Jennifer Horgan
Directive to Drive to Jacob Henry's Apartment
Go to Jacob Henry's Apartment
When you get to his apartment you kick in the door and you want to check for Clues before you talk to Jacob.
15 - Death Threat Note: Obtained after using the pencil to shade out letters on the notepad in the kitchen
16 - Size eleven Shoes: Check the open suitcase in Jacob's bedroom and investigate the size of shoe.

Once you have these Two Clues, go talk with Jacob.

After talking with Jacob, you will have to fight him.

You must use the Phone in his house to check messages.

IMPORTANT - Go to the Police Station and interrogate Jacob first before going to Mendez's apartment.

Lipstick Markings: Truth
Deterioration of Marriage: Lie / Marital Problems
Missing Jewellery: Truth
Now Drive to Mendez' apartment to finish up the case.

Mendez's Apartment

Inspect the mailboxes when you arrive to learn his apartment is #16.

Just before the stairs inspect the sign to learn his apartment is on the top floor.

Go into his bedroom in the back to find your last three clues. DO NOT SEARCH THE BLOODY BOX FIRST! If you do, you will miss out on the other clue and you may have to repeat the case.

17 - Size eight Shoes: Check the shoes beside the bed
18 - Used Lipstick: Check the bloody box in the bedroom
19 - Socket Wrench: Check the bloody box in the bedroom

After searching the Box, Mendez will show up and flee. Chase him down in your Vehicle and arrest him to complete this Case.

After a Short Cut Scene with your Partner and Boss the Case will end and the Achievement will now unlock provided that you have caused over $47,000 worth of Vehicle damage during the Case.
