Astable mode can make an LED flash on and off at a predetermined frequency. In this video, I will set up the 555 timer IC in astable mode and make an LED flash with an adjustable rate. The 555 timer in astable mode can be used for other things as well, such as producing a tone of a certain frequency when the LED is replaced with a speaker.
