Описание:
Milwaukee M12 batteries are compact and powerful — but the chargers are not exactly travel-friendly.
So I decided to build my own USB-C powered charger for M12 batteries.
The goal is a small, portable charger that works anywhere USB-C power is available.
🔌 ELECTRONICS / PARTS LIST
Battery: Milwaukee M12 (12V nominal)
USB-C PD trigger board: 20V output
DC-DC converter:
Buck or buck-boost CC/CV module
(current limited to ~2.5–3A)
Voltage display module
Wiring: Silicone wire
Cooling: Passive (fan optional in later versions)
Enclosure: Custom 3D printed (PLA/PETG prototype)
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES
M12 batteries do not contain a full protection BMS
Charge current is intentionally limited
This build is for DIY / educational purposes
Always understand battery safety before attempting similar projects
🔮 PLANNED UPGRADES
Refined enclosure design
Improved cooling
Possible power-bank functionality
Versions for Parkside & DeWalt 20V batteries
🎯 WHY THIS BUILD
USB-C is everywhere — power banks, car chargers, laptop chargers.
This makes the M12 battery much more flexible for travel and field use.
