We often speak of faith as "going" somewhere (to heaven etc), but for scripture the city of God is coming down, from God, to us, establishing itself in our midst, including all (even our enemies), making all things new.

As part of our Summer Series Faith In The City, we are pleased to welcome our guest preacher this morning, Rev. Dr. Jason Byassee from the Vancouver School of Theology.

Jason Byassee teaches preaching at the Vancouver School of Theology. He is author, most recently, of Trinity: The God We Don't Know (Abingdon). He has previously pastored large (1500) and small (80) parishes, been an editor for Christian Century, and studied and taught at Duke University.
