UCHAGUZI BILA FUJO CONCERT SERIES
This is an event whose main purpose is to use all Art forms to preach peace before, during and after the general election. 2022 is an electioneering year and therefore, MADE IN KIBERA has partnered with local artists to use their talents to initiate peace campaigns in their areas such as Kibera, Mathare, Kawangware, Kondele, urban informal settlements where election violence most often erupt.
"UCHAGUZI BILA FUJO” is a Swahili phrase meaning “ Elections without violence.”
The first “UCHAGUZI BILA FUJO CONCERT” happened on 23rd of July of 2017, just 16 days to the general election. It was held at Laini Saba Playground Kibera. We did it in 2017 and this year we want to take it to another level.
Music and other forms of arts can advocate social goals and influence people to reject violence.
