Описание: Both BOB FINGERMAN and I grew up in Queens, NY (Queens, if you’re not from New York, is in the city; if you’re FROM New York, it’s NOT the “city”), but despite that fact, I had to travel to San Diego some 30 years ago to meet him. I was immediately struck by Bob’s wit and good humor back then, and all this time later I’m still struck by the same. Bob continues to be a font of arcane knowledge, of good taste, withering commentary, warmth and generosity. We flip-flopped coasts a couple times, but all these years later I’m still glad to call him a friend. In this conversation, you’ll get the deets on Bob’s origins, but you’ll also see me wrestling with Zoom’s emoji settings (which don’t show up on screen when I use them, so don’t look for ‘em, just pretend they’re there). PLUS, special added attraction, I had to halt the chat because a bottle of seltzer was yearning to escape my bladder. As always, this is an unedited conversation. Stephen DeStefano (that’s me) is a 40+ year veteran cartoonist, has won two Emmys and drawn dozens of comic books—and has some truly amazing friends. Over the years he and his amazing friends have had amazing conversations, and it dawned on Stephen (me) that someone ought to start recording these conversations. Hopefully full of insight, possibly full of advice, questionably full of humor but definitely full of beans, I (Stephen) will be speaking with some of the best known comics artists, animators, illustrators and creatively gifted people out there. These conversations are raw, unedited, totally punk rock (man!), and rambling, but anything but dull. I (Stephen) hope.
