I installed the Waterworks Flyte series in both of my bathrooms. Given that I have relatively good water pressure throughout the house, I was excited to shower in my newly renovated bathroom, but boy, was I disappointed!
My kids didn't want to shower in their bathroom (the one in the video) because they said they could never get warm enough to be comfortable, and it took too long to wash the soap off! I felt the same way but couldn't let them know that, so I resorted to leaving the hand shower in the cradle and using the overhead shower to make it bearable!
After my wife expressed her frustration, I had to do something! I am a general contractor, so I'm used to solving problems, but messing with the guts of expensive plumbing fixtures is not something that I feel comfortable with. Still, I was desperate to take a satisfying shower!
I had installed in both the master bath and the second bath:
FLHS01 - Flyte Handshower On Hook with Metal Handle in Nickel,
1.75gpm
FLTH10 - Flyte Thermostatic Control Valve Trim with Metal Lever
Handle in Nickel
GUTH60 - Universal 1/2" Thermostatic Valve
FLVC40 - Flyte Volume Control Valve Trim with Metal Cross Handle
in Nickel
GUVC19 - Universal 1/2" Clockwise On Volume Control Valve
FLSH01 - Flyte Wall Mounted Shower Arm and Flange in Nickel
UNSH29 - Universal 6" Rain Shower Head in Nickel, 1.75gpm
I have a sediment filter on my system with a 5-micron carbon block; before that, I have a vortex filter with a 100-micron mesh screen. I flushed the lines before installing any of the fixtures to ensure that nothing was clogged and subsequently rinsed the fixtures after using them for several months to ensure that nothing was reducing the water flow. Yet, the pressure was still making the whole showering experience pretty pathetic!

I'm releasing this video in 3 parts:
