Wellington Hutt Valley Line + A Look at Melling & Masterton

Описание: The final train line recorded in Wellington, the Hutt Valley Line operating through the suburban areas of Lower and Upper Hutt. On the weekend of filming, which was my last few days in Wellington, there was a shutdown of all other train lines as well as this line between Wellington and Petone, meaning this video is only the journey between Petone and Upper Hutt (without announcements as the disruption disabled them). The section along the water which was closed, also part of the Melling Line, is featured from the view of a car on the highway, as well as a quick look at Melling Station at the start of the video, and Masterton Station, the terminus of the Wairarapa Line, operated by locomotive-hauled passenger trains, at the end of the video.
