Linea alba or literally called as a white line or frictional keratosis. The cause of linea alba is cheek biting when your cheek comes in between your upper and lower teeth. So the cause for linea alba or cheek biting is varied, one of the causes is because your nervousness is a habit of biting the cheeks and you get a white line from the corner of your mouth extending all the way posterior along the lone of your teeth. The second reason is it could be because of the teeth which are in a malaligned position or the dentures that are worn it or reduced in vertical height causing the cheek to come in between the upper and lower teeth casing the cheek biting. So this may cause a white line to appear inside the check side of your mouth it usually disappears over a period of time if the cause is removed, if it is a malaligned teeth, correction of the teeth and alignment of the teeth will usually correct the linea alba or cheek biting. If it is a habit because of nervousness, it is usually due to stress. So reduce your stress and other habits, it will reduce by itself. There is no treatment for linea alba. It resolves by itself unless the cause is removed.
