Out On The Land Story begins with a warm welcome from our dedicated Executive Director Pauline Terbasket at the Okanagan Nation Alliance office as everyone gathered to load the bus to start the Okanagan Nation Land Tour 2013.
There first stop was for lunch, introductions and songs. We continue on to Revelstoke to do a roadside protest in support of the Idle No More Movement across Canada.
This film reflects on the spirit and wisdom of the participating Youth and Elders. Nation building and recording the Syilx Elders Stories was the theme for Videographers Duane Marchand and Rick Sagayadan.
The filmmakers would like to acknowledge the staff of the Okanagan Nation Alliance, Pauline Terbasket Executive Director. "We are the guardians of our ancestors legacy, let's ensure their stories endure. (RS)
