An Iranian-American Democratic lawmaker is pushing back against her own party’s reaction to recent US and Israeli military strikes on Iran.
Moj Mahdara said Democrats need to “wake up” and get past their dislike of President Trump.
The lawmaker said she is “incredibly disappointed” with what she sees as the party’s lacklustre response.
She argued the strikes demanded stronger and more unified support from Democratic leaders.
A joint statement has been released by the US and the Middle Eastern countries affected by Iran's drone and missile attacks.
