How good are Cort guitars? Are they good "for the money"?
The Cort CR250 is a Les Paul-style guitar. It looks as you'd expect: 3 tuning pegs on each side, 22 frets, two humbuckers, 2 volume and 2 tone knobs, and a 3-way selector switch.
The Cort CR250 pickups have been designed to sound like Golden Era guitar tones - so think Gibson PAFs and you're in the ballpark. The tones are excellent and it punches well above its weight, from nice cleans to hard rock crunch.
The Cort CR250 is very light. It's significantly slimmer than either a Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul, and you can play it sitting or standing for hours without finding it uncomfortably heavy.
