Day 4 of our Winter Spiti Expedition and we have finally reached the beautiful hills of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. After crossing the hottest regions, we entered the mild cold mountain climate as we move closer to Spiti Valley.
With only 2 days left before the real snow challenge begins, all our expedition vehicles went to Shimla’s auto market for a complete mechanical inspection. Preparation is everything in extreme winter conditions.
My Pajero needed a clutch plate replacement, and I had already carried a spare set to avoid any breakdown during the high-altitude snow drive.
Because Spiti is not just a road trip — it’s a true test of man & machine in freezing temperatures.
The adventure is about to get intense as we head deeper into Himachal Pradesh towards the extreme winter terrain of Spiti Valley. Stay tuned for the next episode!
