This film is part of 1000 Londoners, a five-year digital project which aims to create a digital portrait of a city through 1000 of the people who identify themselves with it. The profile contains a 3 minute film that gives an insight into the life of the Londoner, as well as their personal photos of London and some answers to crucial questions about their views on London life. Over the course of the project we aim to reveal as many facets of the capital as possible, seeing city life from 1000 points of view.

My name is Shameer. I'm from India. I came in 2008 to London. Living on the top floor is better for the view and everything. This is my favourite building called The Shard. I look at it every day, every evening. Every evening I enjoy the lights and brightness. Everything is good. We've only been in this country for 8 years but education is better. For the children education, everything is better. The children are at school - one boy, one girl. The girl is 8, the boy is 4. He's now in nursery and he's learning spelling, his names, words, everything we're teaching him.

-I learnt in my school, um, I learnt bullet points, sub-headings and paragraphs. I learned at my school.

My dream is that my children are well-educated people. You know, I think my daughter she likes doctor. Every time she says "I like that, doctor" My boy, he says "I like football", a football player But in this country everything is better for education, everything. Especially in this UK government, full support for the people It's better for all of the country I think.
