The story of Noah and the Ark begins in a world overwhelmed by violence and corruption. According to the Bible, God chose to reset creation with a great flood, but spared one man who lived with integrity. His name was Noah.
God warned Noah to build an enormous ark and fill it with his family and animals of every kind. Though the task seemed absurd, Noah obeyed. When the rain came, the flood covered the earth, and the ark carried life through the storm.
After many months, the waters receded. Noah sent out a dove, which returned with an olive leaf, a sign that land had returned. When they finally stepped onto dry ground, God promised never to destroy the world by flood again, sealing the covenant with a rainbow.
It’s a story about judgment, obedience, and hope after destruction.
