After the massive success of Nindiya Ke Matal Dulha and Lali, we are back with the first song of the Vivaah Album — “MangalGeet.”

This song carries a story that began one and a half years ago.

We still remember standing at that location for the first time. We looked at each other and said, “One day, we will shoot MangalGeet here.” It felt impossible. The scale we imagined, the visuals we dreamed of, the authenticity we wanted — everything seemed far beyond our financial reach at that time. But we manifested it. We believed in it quietly.

A year later, we returned to that very same place… not just to visit, but to shoot.

Truthfully, creating this video was financially impossible for us. Independent artists know what that means. There is no big banner backing you. No large production house funding you. Just faith… and savings.

This project was built by saving single pennies.
By compromising on day-to-day comforts.
By saying “not now” to many small personal wants.

Every rupee saved had one destination — MangalGeet.

There were moments when we questioned ourselves. Are we stretching too far? Are we risking too much? But every time we played the track, every time we visualised the women singing blessings in that courtyard, we knew we could not step back.

When the first cut of the video was ready, Dev and I sat quietly to watch it. As it played, we didn’t speak. When it ended, we just looked at each other… and hugged. We were in tears. Because what we were watching was not just a music video.

It was a dream we had once whispered to each other.
It was a childhood imagination taking shape.
It was Mithila on screen the way we always wanted to see it — pure, dignified, beautiful.

MangalGeet is not just our work.
It is our offering.
It is a dream we are building for Maithila — so that our culture is seen with pride, with quality, and with respect.

This is more than a release for us.
It is a promise that we will continue to create for our roots, no matter how difficult the path gets.
