This homemade salted caramel ice cream is pure magic in a bowl, It's rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet with just the right hint of salt – and yes, it’s all done effortlessly in the Thermomix.
Ingredients
Salted Caramel Icecream
1. Gula Melaka 200grms (Can substituted with brown sugar)
2. Egg 8 small eggs
3. Salted Butter 100g
4. Vanilla Extract 4tsp
5. Pink salt 3 & 1/2 tsp
6. Whole milk 200grms
7. Double Cream 1ltr
8. Honey 100g
Process
1. Place sugar in thermomix and mill for 15sec on speed 9.
Or
(Grate or blend sugar in a blender
2. Add honey, butter & vanilla extract 15mins,varoma,speed one
Or( place on stovetop on low-medium heat, stir continuously for 10mins) careful not to burn)
3. Add salt. Cream, milk & whisk for 30sec on speed 5
Or use a hand whisk to mix for 1-2minutes
4.Add eggs and beat 20second speed 4
Or Use a hand whisk to mix for 1 minute
5.Cook for 5mins @80 degrees on speed 4
Or simmer on low heat for 5 minutes, do not boil!
6.Allow mixture to cool completly & transfer into cold metal container and freeze
7. After 3-5hours when partially frozen, remix for 1 minute on speed5
Or Use a blender for the same process
8. Pour mixture back into freezing tin and allow to freeze completely.
