Long run of clips from taking out the finished HK 416D build out, along with a short clip at 1:03 of the new optic setup for the SG553. Zeroing at 50 yards then plinking at 25 and 50 yards.
The 416D build consists of a police trade in legit 416 upper sitting on a raw 416 lower forging finished, annodized, and engraved by Drunk Irish Customs. The lower looks amazing and is pretty on point to a real 416 lower aside from the pictograms being a bit thin. The build as a whole is pretty gassy even with the 5.3oz HK buffer, and I will likely only ever use the flow through NT4 PRG on this rifle and not the legacy NT4. Looking at the clip the ejection looks a bit erratic compared to last time I shot the upper, so will have to keep an eye on that. Other than that, ran great aside from the factory overgassing due to running a non-vented gas block.
For the Sig SG553, swapped optics over to a now retro Leupold MK4 CQT. Basing this setup off of an old pic of two swat guys running a SG551 and SG552, with the 552 running the MK4 and the 551 running a surefire handguard (please let me know if you have or know of one). I brought my RC2 to shoot with this but decided not to. Even without the can, at the lowest functioning gas setting it was yeeting brass over 30 feet to my 1 o'clock already. I will likely swap off the muzzle device to the factory stubby flash hider at some point as I don't want this gun to beat itself to pieces.
