When planning her US debut, it was an obvious choice for LIRA to include a selection of her best loved songs spanning the last four studio albums -- All My Love, Feel Good, Soul In Mind, and Return To Love. As for the title, RISE AGAIN seemed most appropriate, both as an affirmation of past success in Southern Africa as a multi-platinum, multi-award winning vocalist - and the intention to succeed in new territories. If you are a fan you will know that 'Rise Again' is also the title of a song included on her second studio album, Soul In Mind which speaks to the action of perseverance in the face of challenges - empowering sentiments embodying LIRA as only she knows how to deliver -- both in studio and on stage.

The release of RISE AGAIN in the US in June 2012 was preceded by a 4-track EP (August 2011) and made available during LIRA'S very first tour in the US which was a resounding success. This led to her recent US trip being one of two African artists to perform at an inaugural ball in honour of President Barack Obama's second inauguration.

Although RISE AGAIN is a retrospective release in that it is comprised of previous hits -- the treatment of the music is progressive and on further listening - sounds like it's been injected with a greater dose of feel good beats -- sounding better than ever after undergoing a musical make-over, tempo changes, new mixing and mastering techniques, and additional post production work. RISE AGAIN -- THE REWORKED HITS COLLECTION is not only a reflection of LIRA'S best work over the last decade, which incidentally also coincides with her 10th Anniversary as a recorded artist -- it also ensures that the music is grooving and is ever relevant for the next generation to fall in love with LIRA all over again.
