At the end of the day comparing Osmo Action 4 vs GoPro Hero 12 comes down to several factors, the first of which is image quality. In my experience, both these cameras have fantastic image quality and stabilization. I have no qualms with either one and both look great on YouTube.

The true crux of the DJI Osmo Action 4 vs GoPro Hero 12 for me as a content creator comes down to ease of use and convenience, and in this area, the Osmo Action 4 is far and away the winner. It requires no expensive media mod, is easier and faster to swap batteries and memory cards, is far more reliable, and offers superior battery life.
