History:
The hotel was built in 1928 by the Novosadov family. Josef Novosad, a World War 1 veteran, earned the money to build the hotel as a waiter in a canteen in Prague's Czernin Palace owned by his wife's sister. During its most famous period, the Hotel was visited by the Baťa family, for example.
Before the war, a second part of the hotel was also built and could welcome up to dozens of guests at a time. Next to the hotel, a house and outbuildings were also built, where pigs, chickens, cows, rabbits and pigeons were kept. During the war, the hotel operated in a limited mode and in 1945 a makeshift infirmary was even set up here. Russian troops arriving from Slovakia took up residence in the hotel. The son of the builder, Karel Novosad, took over the management of the hotel in 1949.
In 1950, as part of the nationalisation, the management was transferred to ČS Hotels, n.p. Brno and the Novosad family found themselves in the position of the operator, they could stay in the hotel until 1959, then the state forced them to leave. They were not allowed to take anything from the hotel. The son of the builder, Karel Novosad, started working as a brewery manager in Rožnov, where he got a service apartment. However, he took the loss of the family business hard and, according to his daughter, had mental and later physical problems. He died eleven years later from a long illness at the age of fifty-one. The hotel was then used by various national businesses for recreation.
It was returned to the Novosad family in restitution in the early 1990s. It was in a state of disrepair, and so rather lived out its life without any prospects for the future. "We sold it for a paltry sum and we've already
