Описание: The roustabouts & Roughnecks on Jack Up rigs are the key players in the rig move operation.

From the time the rig move team decided to commence the rig move operation, the roustabouts and roughnecks will assist in manning the jacking station. They are eyes and ears for control room and rig move team.

Their duties are greasing the leg's rack, station at leg wells to monitor the jacking operation.

During watertight integrity test, they will take manual sounding for all the preload tanks to ensure no water ingress into the tank.

They will assist the Barge Master and Rig Mover to connect the main tow vessel as well as the assist vessels.

Leg retraction operation will required their assistance to connect the jetting hoses and manning the mud pit and mud pump to monitor the pump pressure and filling up mud pit with sea water for jetting operation.

During the tow, they will continue to take manual sounding for all tanks to ensure the integrity of the preload tanks are intact.

Preloading operation another crucial operation where they will help to fill up the preload tanks with desire amount of sea water as per stability calculation. Monitoring the deepwell pressure and engine cooling also part of their duties to ensure the preloading operation going smoothly without any delay.
