In this keynote, Dr. Martínez Plaza presents the European initiative EU-SOLARIS ERIC, a major research infrastructure consortium dedicated to concentrated solar power (CSP) and solar thermal energy (STE) technologies. The talk explains how several European countries joined forces to create a unique legal and scientific framework that enhances the interoperability, accessibility, and quality of research services offered to the CSP and STE communities.

EU-SOLARIS ERIC aims to strengthen collaboration between research institutions, industry, and governments in order to accelerate innovation, scale-up, and deployment of advanced solar thermal technologies across Europe and beyond. The consortium brings together key European members including Germany, France, Spain, Cyprus, and others, with its statutory seat at the Plataforma Solar de Almería (Spain)

This keynote was delivered at the International Conference on Sustainable Energy Systems (ICOSES 2025), a global forum addressing renewable energy, energy storage, hydrogen technologies, and sustainable power systems.
