I recently made a trip to the Crater Of Diamonds April 2025. It has been nearly a year since I have visited the state park in Murfreesboro Arkansas. I am completely devastated after having 11 inches of rain in a couple of days and no gravel to be spotted on the search field. Since the east drain was removed and the state park is plowing the field incorrectly is not allowing any erosion whatsoever. Therefore no gravel can be washed out helping visitors find their first diamond. If the state park doesn’t open up new areas by cutting down trees there is no point of wasting good money. If they cut all the trees down that will expose almost 50 acres of rich Diamond or people will be finding diamonds out of just five buckets. Just like the good old days.
