This is the opening cutscene to the Giant after the events of shadows of evil the 1st part of Rictofens new plan.
After realizing that the old timeline has led to the great war and has left the world in a ruined apocalyptic state Richtofen has a new plan to try and stop that from happening by going back to the past and kill himself before all the previous events ever happened setting the new plan in motion.
