Three Shot Dead as Fresh Incident of Violence Erupts in India's Manipur
The Indian state of Manipur witnessed one of the bloodiest clashes in two months. In the latest, one person was beheaded while three others were shot dead. Reports say that Meitei village volunteers were shot dead. The shooting reportedly happened from adjoining Kuki-majority area. Deaths resulted in retaliatory attack on two Kuki villages. Manipur's Chief Minister N Biren Singh rushed to the site of the incident. Officials are looking into security lapses.
