Have you ever bought an Arduino Pro Mini only to get the dreaded "stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00" error? Don't throw it away! Your board is most likely fine—it's just missing the bootloader.
In this video from R&M LAB GH, I will show you how to "revive" your Arduino Pro Mini using an Arduino Uno as an ISP (In-System Programmer). This is a quick and essential fix for every maker.
In this tutorial, we will cover:
Why the communication error happens.
How to wire the Arduino Uno to the Pro Mini.
Setting up the Arduino IDE (Arduino as ISP).
Burning the bootloader and running a final Blink test.
Wiring Diagram (ISP Connection):
GND → GND
5V → VCC (or 5V)
Pin 10 (Uno) → RESET (Pro Mini)
Pin 11 (Uno) → Pin 11 (Pro Mini)
Pin 12 (Uno) → Pin 12 (Pro Mini)
