Visual communication in urban design.

Описание: The importance of visual communication in urban design is impossible to overestimate! Especially when we talk about multicultural or  touristic cities, as Barcelona for instance. The facts are that images are processed 60 000 times faster than words, people remember 80% of what they see and only 20% of what they read. Therefore the power of visual information and visual communication must be used in urban design and in all processes of urban planning for a better city life organising. 
In this video we demonstrate the importance of visual communication in urban design using Barcelona as an example. You will find here all kinds of visual messages in city life: visual signs in transportation, streets design, touristic signs, important visual information transmitted by QR codes etc. 
Our experience in city making shows that such a simple but effective tool as visual communication in urban design is largely underused still in many cities. So we decided to share our knowledge about uran life organising for others cities use.
