There has been some debate regarding DxO's decision to keep the dedicated Luminosity Mask tool behind the Film Pack license. While that tool is excellent, you don't actually need to spend extra money to get the same functionality.
I will walk you through how to use U-Point technology (Control Points and Control Lines) and the "under the hood" Chroma and Luma sliders to emulate a perfect luminosity mask. I'll demonstrate how to ignore color information to focus entirely on brightness values for precise selections.

For anyone who read this far, my opinion is - especially after thinking about it quite a bit in making this video - I think it was fair enough they wanted to give FilmPack some local adjustments.
