✅ Johnny Winter was an albino kid from Texas who couldn't go out in the sun so he stayed inside and fell in love with the blues on late-night radio. One voice hit him hardest: Muddy Waters. As a boy, he vowed that one day he'd play alongside the master.
✅ And he made it. By 1969 he was a phenomenon fingers so fast they didn't look real, signed to one of the biggest record deals anyone had seen, up on stage at Woodstock. They called him the white Hendrix.
✅ But by the mid-70s, his hero Muddy Waters had been forgotten no label, no new music, his health failing. So Johnny used his own fame and his own label to bring Muddy back. He produced his comeback album himself and it won a Grammy.
✅ And he didn't stop at one. Johnny produced THREE albums for Muddy Waters "Hard Again," "I'm Ready," and the live album and every single one won a Grammy. The kid who dreamed of playing with his hero gave that hero the greatest comeback in blues history.
