President Donald Trump delivers remarks at the 74th annual National Prayer Breakfast at the U.S. Capitol Building | CNBC TV18
Trump will deliver remarks at 8:30 a.m. EST. It will be his sixth time attending the breakfast which brings together lawmakers to gather and pray. the event will be held at the Washington Hilton. Other people attending are House Speaker Mike Johnson, singer Jelly Roll and Attorney General Pam Bondi. A number of House and Senate lawmakers are also in attendance at the event, which is being held at the Washington Hilton Hotel.
The celebration, first held in 1953, used to include the breakfast, along with a separate congressional event. This year, however, it is taking place as a single gathering to continue “a tradition of fellowship and unified prayer,” according to the White House.
Trump’s border czar Tom Homan said DHS will immediately withdraw 700 personnel from Minnesota, leaving about 2,000 officers on the ground. Trump said the fatal shootings by federal agents of Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis “should not have happened.”
Ukraine and Russia have each returned 157 prisoners of war to the other side, according to Russian state news agency TASS and US envoy Steve Witkoff.
