That kind of production from the linebacker position is incredibly rare. The problem for Jacksonville is the contract situation. Lloyd is expected to command somewhere around $18–20 million per year, and with the Jaguars’ cap situation already tight, bringing him back might be easier said than done. That opens the door for a team like the Carolina Panthers. Carolina is in a unique position financially because Bryce Young is still on his rookie deal, giving them flexibility to invest heavily on the defensive side of the ball. Adding a true three-down linebacker who can cover, blitz, and anchor the middle of the defense would be a massive move for a team slowly climbing back toward relevance. Lloyd fits exactly what modern defenses want — speed, versatility, and playmaking ability in space.
