It is that time of the year again Lightfighters! Nights are getting cold and the days much shorter. It is time to adapt out sustainment and fighting loads to survive and thrive during winter time and cold weather operations!
Today unpack my 3-season ruck loadout and repack for colder weather. We take out a few items and add many more, I talk. I am still using the @crossfirepacks CF2 and the DZ rig. It is PLENTY big for general cold weather operations. You might want to expand to a CF3 or larger for extreme climates.
I go over a couple of my favorite items from the ECWCS, or extreme cold weather clothing system. You don't need the actual USGI layers, but following the layering system is great.
