If you're looking for a cheap 7 inch Android tablet today you should consider either the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 or the Asus MeMO Pad HD 7, with the latter selling for about $150 in the 16 GB version, while the beautifully crafted Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 sells for $200 in the 8 GB base model.
The Samsung is clearly the better build, despite the fact it's also made from plastic. On the other hand, the MeMO Pad HD 7 spots a better IPS screen with a higher pixel density and a quad core processor, but don't get fooled by that as demanding 3D games don't run as smooth as on the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0.
