Описание: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recently withdrew Rs 2,000 banknotes from circulation and asked citizens to get them exchanged by September 30, 2023.

While it was widely perceived that the notes would cease to be legal tender after the deadline, the RBI governor’s latest clarification has added a fresh twist.

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said on Monday that people will have time till September 30, 2023, to deposit or exchange their Rs 2,000 notes at banks.
