Описание: The Public–Private Sector Policy Dialogue Session under the GEF–UNIDO Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE) and Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) Project was successfully held on January 29, 2026, at Comfort Hub Hotel, Kano.

This high-level policy and industry engagement brought together:

• CEOs of leading manufacturing companies
• Senior policymakers and regulators
• Representatives of the Commissioner of Industry, Kano State
• The Organised Private Sector of Nigeria (OPSN)
• Institutional and technical stakeholders

The session focused on advancing Nigeria’s industrial energy efficiency agenda through:

✔ Policy updates and regulatory alignment
✔ Project implementation progress review
✔ Private sector feedback and practical insights
✔ Strengthening public–private collaboration
✔ Promoting sustainable industrial development in Nigeria

The dialogue reinforced the importance of Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE), Energy Management Systems (EnMS), and Resource Efficient & Cleaner Production (RECP) methodologies in improving competitiveness, reducing operational costs, and lowering environmental impact across Nigerian industries.
