Atlanta-based drum & bass label Imagine Audio, curated and run by Zak Meow, opened 2026 with a powerful release in the form of the PLUR compilation, Following that there is no exception to the rule that the label means business as next up marks both a return and a rebirth.

Birmingham, UK producer Lee UHF steps back into the spotlight with “The End Of A Bad Day”, a hard-hitting `Techy Neuro Roller` born from renewed creative energy and a standout collaboration with long-time friend and collaborator Noise Souls.

After a three-year hiatus from the studio, Lee UHF enters 2026 in full force, armed with a wealth of new material and a revitalized outlook on music.
Known not only for his productions but also for building and managing an impressive network of drum & bass labels that include Dirtbox Recordings, Evolution Chamber, Proper Talent, DNB Vibes, VTO Records, Neuroheadz, Brain Rave, Melted Face, Vibe City, and Imagine Audio, Lee has remained deeply embedded in the scene, even while his own music output was paused.

That pause came to an end during the autumn of 2025. A pivotal conversation with close friend Nic, aka Noise Souls, proved to be the turning point. Encouraged to revisit his unfinished ideas, Lee shared a large archive of dormant projects. Nic dedicated time to reshaping and enhancing these sketches, transforming them into fully realized works and reigniting Lee’s passion for production.

Over the following weeks, the two producers passed projects back and forth, ultimately completing more than 20 tracks ready for release.

Their renewed creative momentum quickly gained traction. Lee’s big return and debut collaborations with Noise Souls included “Globetrotter” for the “DNB Aid - Jamaica” album on Floodlight Records and “Introspective Thoughts”, released on Dirtbox Recordings as a single and album sampler
for the DNB Essentials compilation.

Both releases highlighted the strong chemistry between the two artists and set the stage for what is shaping up to be a long-term partnership.

Noise Souls himself is widely respected as a pioneer of deep, dark, and experimental drum & bass. With over a decade dedicated to rolling basslines and forward-thinking sound design, his influence has been a key factor in helping Lee overcome a near three-year creative block.

Together, they have found balance, motivation, and a shared vision, resulting in a steady stream of music planned for months to come.

“The End Of A Bad Day” now finds its home on Imagine Audio as one of the tougher rollers from their recent sessions.

The track encapsulates the end of Lee UHF’s time away from writing music and the beginning of something new for both artists.

Classic jungle samples collide with a techy, Euro-style bass drive, while subtle South American influences give the track a distinctive rhythmic flavour. Progressive, relentless, and hard-hitting, it maintains a strong dancefloor sensibility throughout.

With this release, Imagine Audio sets the tone for 2026, raw, focused, and uncompromising. “The End Of A Bad Day” is more than just a comeback track; it’s a statement of intent and the first chapter in a fresh creative era for Lee UHF and Noise Souls.
