What is hair porosity? It's soooo important to know what your porosity level is (even if it's in a general sense). Hair porosity is the level at which your hair receives and retains moisture.

Yup. Even if two heads of natural hair look the same, they can have different porosity levels. The outermost protective layer of your hair strands, the cuticle, can be anywhere between super duper porous to super duper not so porous.

High porosity: Your natural hair has a cuticle that is super porous and allows moisture in and out VERY easily. If you moisturize your hair and an hour later it's dry...this might be you!

Low Porosity: Your natural hair has a cuticle that is stubborn with moisture and is not that porous. If you find it hard to moisturize your hair in the first place...this could be you!
