Calmsden is a small hamlet in the parish of North Cerney, just north of Cirencester, within the Cotswolds National Landscape. Although tiny, it has a long rural history and is surrounded by farmland that has shaped the area for centuries.

The hamlet is home to St Mary's Church, parts of which date back to the 12th century, and several traditional limestone cottages that reflect the classic architecture of the Cotswolds.

Historically, Calmsden has always been closely linked to agriculture. The surrounding estate and farmland remain an important part of village life today, with arable farming and conservation shaping much of the landscape.

Although small, Calmsden captures everything many people love about the Cotswolds—quiet lanes, honey-coloured stone buildings, rolling countryside and the peaceful rhythm of rural England.
