During a 16-day camping trip to western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania in July 2025, we stayed near Erie Pennsylvania so we could explore Presque Isle State Park.
One of the features of the park is the Presque Isle Lighthouse. The redbrick dwelling with attached 57-foot tower was built in 1872. It's still a working lighthouse and is maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard. There is an admission charge to tour the lighthouse, but you can explore the grounds and visit the gift shop for free.
