The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognisance of the allegations that wives of Pulwama martyrs were assaulted and beaten up by cops in Rajasthan while they were protesting against the unfulfilled promises on part of the state government.
NCW today tweeted that it has taken cognizance and Chairperson Rekha Sharma has written to DGP Rajasthan to personally look into the matter. NCW has also ordered the DGP to conduct an inquiry into allegations of mistreatment and assault levelled by the women against police officials. Detailed ATR must be apprised to NCW.
