Описание: Never carry water again! In this video, we're building a cheap, easy, and off-grid solution to move rainwater from our harvest tank to our garden.

This is Part 5 of our "Moving Water Uphill" series, and for the first time, we're going completely solar!

The Challenge: Pump harvested rainwater from a tote by the front of the house all the way across the backyard—over 150 feet away and 20 feet uphill—to a second tote at the highest point of the yard.

Our goal is to power a small 20W DC pump using only a low-cost 25W solar panel, skipping the need for a power company connection. We’ll show you how we set up this system using simple, affordable materials like ½-inch irrigation tubing.

By using gravity from our high-point storage tote, we can power a wide reaching drip irrigation system for our garden and trees, saving a ton of time, labor, and sweat.

Ready to build your own system? Let's get started!
